WHO literature often references the thousand-day theory, promoting the global spread of good practices to foster and sustain good health.
In implementing the WHO recommendations, the Ministry of Health has developed a document aimed at raising awareness of the main health risk factors and protective measures, as focusing on good practices in the first 1000 days of life can significantly impact the health of future generations.

Chemicals and endocrine disruptors present in the food we eat and the products we use can be transmitted to the foetus during pregnancy in doses such as to cause epigenetic changes. These might not be manifested immediately after birth but can have significant effects much later in adulthood. During this critical period, it is therefore very important to use highly certified substances in the production chain and, above all, products free from environmental pollutants, in the care routine for mother and child.
A stronger focus on mother and child’s skin
Special care is required in formulating creams and detergents intended for children, considering the particular impact of the mechanisms and targets of endocrine disruptors (thyroid and pubertal development) on paediatric health. The same goes for pregnant and breastfeeding women due to the possible transfer of substances through the placenta, and to infants.

An expert in maternal-foetal medicine, he played a key role in the development of the 1,000 Days Line. His extensive experience and academic leadership since 1992 at the University of Perugia, have contributed to the promotion of the 1,000 days concept and the formulation of our products. As Director of the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Clinic Complex Structure, he has led research projects and clinical initiatives, highlighting his commitment to the sector. His participation as a Visiting Professor in international institutes such as Winthrop University in New York is testament to his global commitment to improving maternal-foetal health and perinatal medical education.
